DescriptionRupert's ideal home
Happy little Rupert has come to us with very little history but has settled well here in kennels. We do know that he has lived with other dogs before and has made some pals here, so could live with another dog in his new home. Rupert is shy at first but he is a friendly lad, so it shouldn't take long to become his best friend (treats will help). He does show signs of having seperation anxiety, so owners would need to be around most of the time to help build up leaving alone times gradually. He could live in a home where the children are aged 8 or over and would enjoy a garden to mooch about in. Rupert will need regular grooming and he has not been overly fond of this, so may need owners to go slow to help him feel more comfortable about formal handing.
Could you be Rupert's perfect match?
Rupert is lively and playful so would benefit from an active family who want to do daily walks and have fun days out. He is just as friendly and playful with other dogs, so any new doggy friends would need to be tolerant of his playstyle. He has not shown much interest in toys here, but this could change in a home. He is still a young dog, and as we have no history, new owners should be prepared to start all training from scratch but we think he will be a fast learner. Rupert would suit a variety of homes and we are sure he will be a very rewarding rescue dog, apply to adopt today.
